Liberty HS Film Fest
Liberty High School will be hosting a film festival at their school
Here are the requirements in order to enter:
Film Length: Maximum runtime: 7 minutes (including credits)
Film Genre: Any genre is welcome as long as your film has a narrative structure.
– During the event, films will be shown in genre-specific categories (drama, comedy, horror,
etc.)
Content Guidelines: Films must be appropriate for a school audience.
– Avoid excessive violence, inappropriate language, or offensive material.
– Final discretion on appropriateness lies with your teacher and the contest director.
– Films must be created by CCSD students.
– No part of the production may be created by AI.
Submission Instructions: Title your film with your school, underscore, and and film title. (example:
Liberty_Unheard)
– Save your film as an mp4 or mov file.
– Upload your film to your CCSD Google Drive and share the file with Cristine Stephens
(stephcl@nv.ccsd.net) by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Confirmation will be
sent when your film is received.
– TEACHERS- If you have several submissions from your school, please collect the files in to
a Google Drive folder, ensure they are named properly, and share the file with Cristine
Stephens (stephcl@nv.ccsd.net)
Judging Categoreis: Best Screenwriting: Recognizing outstanding storytelling and dialogue, this category celebrates creative and engaging scripts that showcase compelling characters, well-structured narratives, and imaginative ideas.
Best Acting: Honoring exceptional performances that bring characters to life, this category looks for actors who demonstrate emotional depth, authenticity, and strong on-
screen presence.
Best Cinematography: Highlighting visually stunning and creatively composed films,
judges will evaluate the use of camera angles, lighting, framing, and visual storytelling to
enhance the narrative.
Best Post-Production: Celebrating technical excellence in editing, sound design, and
special effects, this category rewards seamless cuts, effective use of music and sound,
and innovative enhancements that elevate the film.
Best Film: The top honor for the most outstanding entry overall, this category recognizes
films that excel across all aspects of filmmaking, including storytelling, performances,
visual impact, and technical execution.
Event Admission: All films selected for the event will receive three free admission tickets.
– Teachers are free with a school or district ID.
– Regular admission is $5 for all others.
– Concessions will be sold at the event.
