“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” — Arthur Ashe
The counseling department did just that, they used what they have and did what they can to help student’s education easier with a click of a button…
There are so many opportunities outside of school that seem out of reach for students who don’t know exactly where to start looking. Those opportunities can include scholarships, after school activities and any help with school related tasks. Many students raise the question, “If only there was a way to view everything I need to succeed in school with a click of a button?“
Look no further as the counselors of Green Valley has solved that problem for you!
Green Valley is filled with amazing counselors that can help with your search for success within and outside of school. The counselors put together a newsletter every month that is filled with important information for all grade levels, specifically seniors and any principal dates that are coming up for them.
This month’s newsletter includes special details on scholarships such as The Project 150 scholarship. This scholarship focuses on any students that are planning to attend a Nevada community college or university. The newsletter includes material about how to apply and the requirements about the application.

Project 150 document includes the information, requirements, and specialties to apply.
The newsletter is very helpful to students that are looking for careers and job opportunities. The letter includes a section about job chances such as becoming a poll worker, with earnings up to $20 an hour at the Clark County Election Department.

Clark County Poll Workers website includes information and contacts about the job
If career information is not what you need, don’t worry because it also has great sources for school activities such as the Hope Squad Field Day. It involves face painting, games, food, and more. The field day is at Green Valley High School, located at the football field with the entry being free, free, FREE!

The most important feature of the newsletter is the quick links that helps student access pages such as FASFA links and college visits.
The newsletter offers spotlights on certain pages that makes it easier for anyone, even parents, to view. The counselors put this together for a reason–to make everyone’s search easier and faster, putting less stress and more knowledge for students and parents across the school.
