Exploring STEM Careers at UNLV!

Students interested in careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) have several exciting opportunities to connect with experts, explore programs, and build important skills at University of Nevada, Las Vegas this spring and summer. These events are designed for K–12 and high school students who want to learn more about STEM pathways and experience what studying these fields in college can look like.

March 14 – Free K–12 Soft Skills STEM Workshop

Students can participate in a free workshop focused on soft skills for STEM success, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. These skills are essential for success in STEM classes, internships, and future careers. Register here!

 April 17 – Free Engineering Preview Event

High school students interested in engineering are invited to attend a free Engineering Preview event at UNLV. Participants will:

• Meet current engineering students and professors

• Learn about different engineering majors

• Participate in in-depth information sessions for majors of their choice

• Ask questions about college preparation and career paths

This event takes place the day before the university’s larger preview program, giving students a chance to get an early look at engineering opportunities. Register here!

April 18 – Rebel Preview

Students who want a broader look at the university can also attend Rebel Preview, where prospective students explore campus programs, meet faculty, and learn more about student life. Register here!

Summer STEM Institute – Scholarship Interest Form

Students in 9th–11th grade who are interested in attending a Summer STEM Institute at UNLV but may need financial assistance can complete a scholarship interest form.

While scholarships are not yet confirmed, students who submit the form will be contacted if funding becomes available. Scholarship interest form!
