Congratulations to Green Valley High School’s SkillsUSA teams for competing this week at the state competition for Nevada. 21 students competed by themselves & with teams to showcase their skills in video production and cabinetmaking, as well as leadership skills.

– Thomas Pacheco won bronze for Cabinetmaking

– Trevor Tumminia won bronze for Prepared Speech

– Roki Serflaten is now a state officer for the Nevada Association of SkillsUSA

Our chapter has also been awarded the Quality Chapter Award & the Silver Level Chapter of Distinction Award for the Chapter Excellence Program for community service. Roki Serflaten is heading to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia in June. Congrats to everyone involved in SkillsUSA & thank you to our CTE advisor, Matt Mayhood, for accompanying the team this week with Cabinetmaking advisor, Mark Drakulich, and GVTV Media Manager, Cyrus Barron.
