College Visits Coming to Green Valley High School

Green Valley High School students have two exciting opportunities this week to explore future pathways after graduation. Representatives from Northern Arizona University and the United States Military Academy at West Point will be visiting campus to share information about their programs, admissions, and student life.

Visit Schedule

  • Wednesday, April 1 – Northern Arizona University at 12:00 PM
  • Thursday, April 2 – United States Military Academy at West Point at 10:00 AM

These visits are a great chance for students to start thinking seriously about their futures and ask questions directly to college representatives.

Northern Arizona University

Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, NAU offers a traditional college experience with a wide variety of majors and programs. Known for its strong focus on research, sustainability, and outdoor lifestyle, NAU attracts students who enjoy both academics and nature. During the visit, students can learn about admissions requirements, campus life, scholarships, and what it’s like to live and study in a college town.

United States Military Academy at West Point

West Point provides a very different path. As one of the nation’s most prestigious service academies, it prepares students—called cadets—to become officers in the U.S. Army. Founded in 1802, West Point offers a fully funded education in exchange for military service after graduation. Students will have the chance to learn about the application process, including nominations, leadership expectations, and the unique lifestyle that combines academics, military training, and athletics.

Even if you’re unsure about your plans after high school, attending these sessions can help you:Explore different career and education paths
