Golden Knights Preseason Game
The Vegas Golden Knights announced their plans for the eighth remembrance of 1 October to commemorate the tragedy of 1 October, 2017. The Golden Knights have a preseason game scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they host the Colorado Avalanche at T-Mobile Arena at 6 p.m. PT. The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation will contribute $1 million to the Vegas Strong Fund, an organization designated as the nonprofit to oversee the fundraising, design and construction of the 1 October Forever One Memorial in Las Vegas.

Route 91 Afternoon Support Group
For people who have been impacted by the October 1st incident please join this meeting. This virtual group meets weekly, supporting those impacted by the Route 91 tragedy. This is a safe space to heal and be supported by others who understand what you are going through. Every meeting will have a short teaching followed by an optional time for participants to share what is on their minds. Participants are welcome to listen only. Topics covered include triggers, coping methods, dealing with family members who do not understand, minimizing anxiety, and other issues that support your next phase of healing. The group is facilitated by Certified Life Coach Alice Goldstein, MA, in cooperation with the Resiliency & Justice Center. 1 October Memorial Design Concept & Creative Expressions Exhibit
Clark County is hosting the 1 October Memorial Design Concept & Creative Expressions Exhibit through Thursday, Oct. 19, in the Rotunda Gallery, located on the first floor of the Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. The exhibit showcases a concept by JCJ Architecture that was selected to serve as the design recommendation for the community’s permanent memorial as well as a selection of creative expressions that were submitted to the County’s 1 October Memorial Committee as part of its process for gathering ideas from public for the memorial. An artist’s reception will be held in the Rotunda Gallery on Sunday, Oct. 1, following the annual Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony in the Government Center Amphitheater at 7:30 a.m. Click here For more Info.
Honoring the 58
This is a free virtual get together via Zoom, so you can join from the comfort of your home. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link and details on how to join the meeting. This event is open to Routers, family members, friends, responders, hospital staff, and anyone else impacted by 1 October. You are welcome to join even if you prefer not to share. Reading of the Names Ceremony
This ceremony will include the reading of the names of the victims of October 1, 2017. A bell will toll and a candle will be lit in remembrance for each person we lost as a result of the attack at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
The event will be carried on the city’s KCLV Channel 2 television station, at www.kclv.tv/live, and the city’s Twitter/X and Facebook channels.
