Track & Field Championship

4A Championships Winners!

The Green Valley Boys Track and Field team has secured the 4A State Championship title.

Individual and Relay State Champions:

• Boys 4x800m Relay: State Champions (Ka’eo Luna, Aaron Gubler, Michael Janston, and Reese Leoncavallo)
• Reese Leoncavallo: State Champion in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m
• Giancarlo Crovetto Jr.: State Champion in both Long Jump and Triple Jump
• Elyjah Cobwell: State Champion in the 110m Hurdles and 4th place in the 300m Hurdles

Additional Standout Performances:

• Ka’eo Luna: 2nd in the 3200m, 3rd in the 1600m, and 6th in the 800m
• Justin Santana: 3rd place in High Jump
• Michael Janston: 8th place in the 800m
• Boys Pole Vault: Yuyay Williamson (2nd), Joseph Mckeon (3rd), Liam Ross (5th), and Bylee Crain (6th)

The Girls team finished in 6th place overall out of 27 teams

In the 1600m, Mackensie took 6th place, Eliza Miller followed in 7th, and Lola Decania finished in 8th.

The Girls 4x800m relay team, composed of Lola Decania, Dani Leathey, Makansie Farthing, and Eliza Miller, earned 3rd place.

Kyndle Harris, Jayda Barfield, Layla Wardrop, and Hailey Wike secured a 4th-place medal in the Girls 4x200m relay.

In the 400m, 10th grader Layla Wardrop earned 7th place.

Freshman Jasarai Kinney placed 6th in the High Jump.

Sheyane Saunders-Harris achieved 6th place in both the Shot Put and Discus.

Overall Team Standings

Boys Division (Top 3 of 25 Teams):

1. 1. Green Valley High School – 120 points
2. 2. Mojave – 90 points
3. 3. Basic – 75 points

Girls Division:

The girls’ team placed 6th out of 27 teams total, finishing with 34 points.
