Attention High School Ambassadors, if you are interested in a scholarship we might have found one for you! Please see attached flyer and information below that is regarding an exciting scholarship opportunity offered to CCSD high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in culinary and/or hospitality. Deadline to apply is January 31, 2024 at 11:59pm.
Requirements:
-Must be a high school senior in Clark County, or UNLV in-state Freshman or sophomore
-Must plan to attend an accredited post‐secondary institution as a full‐time student the academic year following their graduation
-Must plan to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts or related program
-Must demonstrate a financial need (combined family income should not exceed $70,000 annually).
-Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

- Be prepared to provide your: transcript, 2 letters of recommendation, resume, proof of financial need, and responses to essay questions
Scholarship and Mentoring Program:
- Scholarships are awarded in amounts up to $35,000 for students attending UNLV
- Each student will be mentored throughout the year one-on-one by a member of the ECF Board of Directors
- Mentors meet monthly with his/her student and may provide unique employment opportunities, etiquette training, career guidance, academic assistance and experienced insight
- Mentors are renowned industry leaders
- Entry into ECF’s prestigious leadership development program
